Challenge

TheCar is a fast-growing premium chauffeur-service start-up in the Skåne region, aiming to scale its fleet from an initial eleven vehicles to around 400 cars across several Swedish cities. To support that growth, the company needed to rethink its booking process and bring it into a mobile application usable both by customers and by its own internal teams.

Solution

Sigma Technology built a Progressive Web App with several interfaces: a customer booking app with trip history and user management, a dispatch system for planning and coordinating rides, a driver view for managing trips and reporting incidents, and an admin dashboard for pricing, subscriptions and scheduling. The build was carried out in three stages — setting up the development environment, revising booking management, and building the customer-facing application — using an agile approach on Microsoft Azure, React, SignalR and C#/.NET 6.

Results

The first version of the platform is live, customers are actively signing up, and a UX analysis is underway to guide further improvements. Planned future additions include SMS/telephony integration, invoicing, Mobile BankID and card payments.
